Working with Sainsbury's to promote healthy travel!

Advantage Healthcare is pleased to announce that it is teaming up with Sainsbury’s pharmacies to deliver travel health and vaccination clinics to twenty of their stores in and around London.

The travel advise clinics give shoppers the opportunity to see a Registered Advantage Healthcare Nurse and discuss their travel health needs. They will receive free advice and, if necessary, competitively priced immunisations and over the counter treatments.

Clinics will operate every Saturday from 26th July to October 25th between 10am - 2pm and will be held in a private Sainsbury’s pharmacy consultation room. If the pilot is successful it will be rolled out to stores nationwide.

Keith Nurcombe, chief executive of Advantage Healthcare said: "We are delighted to be working with Sainsbury’s again. This is a very exciting opportunity for our nurses to be able to work with Sainsbury’s consumers in such an innovative programme."

This is a busy and exciting time for healthcare projects at Advantage. Along with the launch of travel health clinics, preparation for the national flu vaccination programme is now well underway. Many new nurses are now coming on board to help beat the flu as the season is due to start at the end of September.
